An informal letter is probably the easiest part of the writing exam. However you have to make your writing seem natural and spend the last 10 minutes checking that their are no errors like gerund or infinitive and singular, plural forms.
So make sure you practice using lots of natural phrases, idioms, in emails before the exam.
